Bosch's largest spark plug manufacturing base laid the foundation in Nanjing

On September 6, 2011, a new worker of Bosch Automotive Components (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. held a ground breaking ceremony in the Eastern District of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone and officially started construction.

The new plant has a total investment of more than RMB 1.1 billion. The product line covers spark plugs, brake components and automotive diagnostic systems. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2013. After the new plant is put into operation, Bosch Automotive Components (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. will employ more than 3,000 people and have an annual production capacity of more than 100 million spark plugs, making it the largest spark plug manufacturing base of the Bosch Group.

In addition to spark plugs, Bosch's new Nanjing plant will have state-of-the-art test platforms and test equipment. After it is officially put into production in 2013, it will manufacture 80 million brake pads and 25,000 inspection devices each year, making it a brake for Bosch Automotive aftermarket. New R&D base for components and test equipment.
